ここ最近HP-UXを仕事で使っているので、その備忘。
ちょっとした理由で、kctune、HP-UXのカーネルをいじった際にsyslogにログが出力されるのか調べてみた。
以下のように、kctuneコマンドを用いてHP-UXのカーネルを編集する。

さて、syslogにはログが出力されるのだろうか？
以下のように「/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log」（HP-UXのSyslog。このOS、デフォルトでは「/var/log」が存在しない。）の内容を確認した。

しかもWarningで。
まぁ、カーネルいじってるんだからログくらい出力するわな。
他、「/var/adm/kc.log」などにも出力されるので、あまりこの辺りで悪さはできないようだ。
なお、kctuneのオプション等についてはこちらのPDFに記述されているが、どうもsyslogに出力させないようなオプションもなさそう。
